Here is a small painting from a Hyde Park spot. See the reference photo. How good is it for a composition, of course I can improve on the tree. Need your views, please.
Today I made 2 more paintings of the Rochester Castle. Then in the afternoon, made another one of the same. So there are 4 of them including the sketch I posted yesterday. Here are they in the order they were made: Rochester Castle 1:
Rochester Castle 2:
Rochester Castle 3:
Comments are welcome. The third one is large size.
This is the same barn painting from the workshop, wanted to improve and I believe it did this time around. Added a bit of autumn colours. Don't miss the sheep! Let me know what you think!
I attended a painting workshop by the famous English Watercolour painter Peter Woolley on 27-28 September in Hartington, Peak District area. Went outdoors on first morning and did some sketches of a barn nearby and in the afternoon went along with Peter in painting the same. Couldn't finish by 5.00, so carried into the second morning which was very gloomy to go out. But by the time we finished, sun came out and went out for sketching the stonewalls which are part of the landscape here. After which Peter showed us how to paint the stonewall, there was just time enough for that! Here I post all the work I did as also Peter's. I finished the stone wall painting today. The first one is the painting by Peter Woolley as well as the sketch below(4th image).
